Gary Moore Passes away February 6th, 2011

Gary Moore was a highly influential Irish singer-songwriter and guitarist, who was born on April 4th, 1952, in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He began his career as a member of the Irish blues-rock band Skid Row in the late 1960s, and later joined the legendary rock band Thin Lizzy in 1974. 

Moore's work as a solo artist, however, was where he made some of his greatest contributions to music. He released numerous acclaimed albums throughout his career, spanning a variety of genres including blues, rock, and heavy metal. Some of his most notable solo works include "Still Got the Blues" (1990), "After Hours" (1992), and "Blues for Greeny" (1995), which was a tribute to his former bandmate in Thin Lizzy, Peter Green. 

Moore was widely regarded as one of the greatest guitarists of his generation, with a style that was characterized by his virtuosity, technical proficiency, and emotional depth. He was known for his ability to infuse his music with a wide range of influences, including blues, rock, and jazz. 

Moore passed away on February 6th, 2011, while on vacation in Estepona, Spain. His death was widely mourned by the music community, with many musicians paying tribute to his legacy and influence on their own work. Today, Moore is remembered as one of the most talented and innovative guitarists of his time, and his music continues to be celebrated by fans around the world.
